Bark For Life Volunteers Needed!

The American Cancer Society Bark For Life gives you a chance to share with others how cancer has made an impact in your life, and to come together to celebrate survivorship and to honor the care giving qualities of our canine best friends.

Bark For Life is a dog walk event that gives dog owners (and the dogs that love them!) an opportunity to come together to raise funds to help the American Cancer Society save lives and create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.

Please fill out the Volunteer Interest Form if you able to help for an hour or two at this event!

Each of us has our own reasons for caring about the fight against cancer. When you participate in the American Cancer Society Bark For Life, you are helping the American Cancer Society create a world with less cancer and more birthdays!  Our friends and families will be able to:

  • Help people stay well by helping them take steps to prevent cancer or detect it early, when it’s most treatable.
  • Help people get well by being in their corner around the clock to guide them through every step of their cancer experience.
  • Find cures by funding groundbreaking research that helps us understand cancer’s causes, determine how best to prevent it, and discover new ways to cure it.
  • Fight back by working with lawmakers to pass laws to defeat cancer and by rallying communities worldwide to join the fight.
stay well, get well, find cures, and fight back.
This year’s Bark For Life of Ionia County is on May 7, 2016.  Join us for an unforgettable event where we’ll come together with other canine owners to celebrate, remember, and fight back!
